I carry entirely too much crap…

…in my computer bag. Here is the contents of my bag that I unpacked after getting home today. What I had: My bag, my laptop, my scanning translator pen, bandaids, Air France courtesy package (towelette, eye mask, headphones), camera, another eye mask from another flight, cheap noise-canceling headphones, good Etymotic ear buds, French dictionary, charger for Nokia N800, charger for laptop, charger for camera battery, ibuprofen, Nokia N800, iPod classic, key to house, decongestant, AAA batteries, charger for iPod, earplugs, Front Row remote for MacBook Pro, tape measure, extra battery for N800, extra battery for cell, 3 extras SD cards, mints, receipt, thumb drive, plug adapters (2), portable bluetooth keyboard, bluetooth headset, glasses case, retractable cables (USB to USB mini, USB to iPod dock, ethernet), iPod Nano (yes, I carried TWO iPods!), pens & pencils, US & Euro coins.

Roughly 50 items, of which I used probably 12. But I am a gadget freak and I really NEED it ALL! Okay, it’s a disease and I need help!

The retractable cables have really cut down on clutter. I wish it was required that all devices could be recharged via USB mini connector. It would be awesome!

Are you Jason Bourne, James Bond or just an average nuclear engineer? Geesh.
